Toitū net carbonzero certified
We are proudly taking the right step towards pioneering sustainability in the car rental sector and are proud to now be Toitū net Carbonzero recertified, accurately measuring and reducing the greenhouse gas footprint of our business.
Toitū Envirocare accurately measure greenhouse gas emissions, and put in place strategies to manage, reduce and offset their impacts. Compliance is independently verified annually to maintain certification. They are an organisation that help businesses transform their operations to reduce carbon emissions, achieve net carbon zero, and become climate positive.
To achieve a Toitū certification you must prove to the certifiers that you have completed a series of rigorous measures to ensure that you are managing and measuring your emissions reductions targets. We target a range of environmental impacts, like waste management, fuel usage, and energy use with a plan for continual improvement.
We have offset our emissions by purchasing carbon credits in support of Waipuna Bush in New Zealand and Amayo wind power project in Nicaragua.
